We were working with Lionel on an engineering issue and redesign. The final design with be posted and revised soon. Our 4-6-0 will have a custom "platform pilot". No other 4-6-0 Ten Wheeler being produced by Lionel this year will have this pilot. If you have already placed an order and do not like the redesign or price, you can elect to receive your deposit back, $200 Deposit for 2024 NLOE Long Island #146 Locomotive.

Per 2024 Lionel Big Book:
Once "big power" in the late 19th Century, Ten-wheelers later became mainstays on commuter and branch lines where their mid-sized drivers suited them well for rapid acceleration in both freight and passenger duties. Based on the New York Central's F-12 class, Lionel's model represents one of the more modern 4-6-0 designs to be found anywhere. Even with its "modern" size and appliances, these locomotives still retain some of the charm of their history. As such, we've included a few "Heritage" Ten-wheelers in this run as well.
